Hi Girls,
A few months ago, I was interviewed by the magazine ELLE Indonesia. A great surprise and a great honor for me, I'm just a little French blogger. If you are interested, here is the full interview. I hope I have not made too many mistakes with my English.
1.
Do French women nowadays have increasing concerns on skin aging? How?
French
women are more and more concerned on skin aging; however we are far from Asians
or Americans ones. French are looking for getting old in a better way than
staying older at any price. Esthetic surgery is not the primary solution for them;
she would rather treat small issues as dark spots or by making smooth peelings.
Hyaluronic acid or botox injections may still afraid the largest part of
consumers and does not concern many women. She would rather invest in quality
cosmetics goods and learn how to live with wrinkles the best they can.
2.
What do French women usually do to deal with skin aging? Is there any
particular ways that they do to prevent skin aging?
French
women are more likely taking care of their skin before getting old, by using
moisturizers, using solar protection/cream during summer, by paying attention
to their skin in order to minimize skin aging that would coming later. She will
also taking care of their skin by the inside, by drinking a lot of water and
eating healthy. However small and quick dermatologic interventions are
democratizing, as they’re light intervention that improve skin health and give
good looking.
3.
What is your personal opinion about skin aging? Is there any worry about
it?
Personally,
I take care of my skin; but as I’m still young so I don’t have wrinkles
problems yet. However when some kind of dehydration wrinkles appears, I use a
quality moisturizer that solve the problem and give elasticity to my skin. In
summer period I try to protect my face from the sun, as after consulting a skin
specialist, I discovered that I’m likely to have some sun spots on my face.
I often
making masks based on hyaluronic acid and collagen in order to regenerate my
skin. I think I will not hesitate to do some hyaluronic acid injections when
I’ll get older, if a lion’s wrinkles appears or if my naso labial fold is too
much visible, in order to keep a serene face and keep a “friendly face
expression”.
4.
What are the anti-aging skincare products that you recommend (which you
might also use yourself)? (You can mention French brands or international
brands)
I’m
currently using an eye cream All about Eyes by Clinique and a collagen mask by
Collin Resultime, and finally the Advanced Night Repair serum from Estée Lauder
in the evening. Soon I’d like to test the Vinexpert product line by Caudalie,
made with grapes, a fruit full of antioxidant, or products by Skinceuticals, a
pretty technical brand specialized in anti aging and prevention. Among products
I’ve already tried, I loved the concentrated serum Mésolift by Liérac, which
provide tonicity and radiance to my skin.
5.
What do you habitually do (non-cosmetic way) to prevent skin aging?
First avoid
going under the sun excessively without any protection, have a healthy life,
eat antioxidant rich products and don’t smoke. If think this is the base that
let you keep a beautiful skin. But you know, the genetic plays a great role,
some are more lucky than other.
6.
What is your best tips for our readers in dealing with skin aging?
My
first advise is to moisturize your skin as often as you can, mostly if you have
a dry skin, because this type of skin is more likely to get wrinkles quickly.
It’s important to listen to its skin by using the good product at the right
moment, starting to use anti aging product when you reach 25 years old by prevent future skin issues. Then,
do not underestimate sun dangers. Do not overlook your skin health; taking care
of it younger is a good habit, if you don’t do it you should strongly regret.
XOXO
F.
